Walked in to see if they had an opening for a small tattoo, I was told yes what would you like. I proceeded to describe the dime sized tattoo I wanted on my hand and the guy just flat out said no. Initially I thought it was because of the skin, I have heard of tattoo artists who don't like to do tattoos on thin skin. Then I asked what the reason was and he asked me if I was covered in tattoos; I have a tattoo on my wrist behind my ear and a 3000 dollar side panel from my hip to the top of my shoulder. Apparently since I am Not head to toe covered in ink I am not eligible to get a tattoo on my hand. Needless to say I've been in this shop twice and both times I've dealt with stuck up workers who think a little girl in a pink toque isn't worthy enough for a tattoo on her hand. I can honestly say I will never go back to that shop and I wont reccomend it. As an artist myself this is disappointing because I know there is so serious talent once you get past the initial ignorance. In any business the person at the front of the shop is the first glance at the shop as a whole and they hold 80% of the customers experience. I'll take my business to my regular shop, the down payment is 50 dollars more but at least the employees have people skills and won't turn someone away just because they aren't covered in ink.
