Just to add to the comment above - I was burned too and thought I was the only one. Makes Avid even worse!! I am disappointed by Mike and staff. I understand a business having issues but this is crazy. If he had been open and honest people would not be feeling the way they do. As far as his customers are concerned he has scammed them all out of their hard earned money. Business will not answer e-mails or voice mails. They will not check messages and do not care about their customers enough to send a letter explaining the situation. Why do they make you fill out client information form if they are not going to use it to CONTACT their clients? From the comments below it seems clear that Mike is the owner now but I have to say the following: - Clients came to Avid based on the service they received from Marcia and they expected this service to continue - When the business was sold, clients were not informed that there would be a substantial change in customer care - I feel that Avid went beyond not informing their customers of the change in ownership and therefore change in service and instead tried to mislead their clients into thinking that Marcia was still there. - Marcia’s diplomas are all over the walls in that place and the only reason someone posts something like that is to provide comfort that the person you are putting faith in to meet your "spa" needs in knowledgeable in their particular field of care. I think the diplomas were left behind as false advertising. - Marcia's voice is still used on the voice mail messages - One would expect if her diplomas are still there and it is still her voice on the machine that it would still be her providing care - I find it interesting that the person below standing up for Marcia said that they were rating Avid based on when Marcia was there and therefore changing the existing rating on this website to be higher than it was before. Why would anyone want to do that when they know how Avid is currently treating their cli

As far as I know Marcia sold the business a year or so ago to mike. Not sure what is going on?

I would not recommend Avid Medi Spa! You can never reach them, they cancel appointments, their equipment is always broken and they are using rentals that do not work as well. After a one year groupon I still have A LOT of hair left despite being a perfect candidate for laser hair removal. Once the year is done, despite lack of results, you are expected to pay for extra treatments. I know other people with the same problems.

I have been going here for a very long time now and although I was pleased with the service have to say that this is entirely inexcusable. I understand things going wrong in a business setting but what these people are doing in unprofessional, uncaring and criminal. They have taken money from hundreds of clients and simply ran off with it. If Mike cared in the slightest he and his staff would have taken the time to call their clients and with the business closed they should have had the time for that. In his interview Mike says that the lasers were damaged but that does not explain why they could not contact their loyal clientele to explain the situation. Communication is key to any good business and it is clear that this business is all about the money. They simply do not care. The owners are: Marcia Lefebvre and Mike Jardim and I hope all their clients file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in order to prevent this from ever happening again. If refunds are not offered I am filing a lawsuit.

The employees there are mostly fairly professional, but there are some who are beyond rude. It literally astounds me how rude and unprofessional they are. They sit at the desk and when you engage them they act as though you are an inconvenience. Maybe her family owned it and she felt she was above everyone else but I was very surprised. Had I not already paid for my services I would've walked out and never returned. I am tempted to do so even now.
